DESCRIPTION: Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., "REGULATOR No. 60", oak cased ,jeweler's time piece, with wide rod gridiron pendulum, porcelain dial and center seconds hand, c1903
CONDITION: the case was refinished to medium oak shade long ago, and now with nice patina, and the weight is a replacement. Otherwise this clock is in excellent original condition, with old door glass, perfect dial, original brass "music clef" hands [now dark], even original bell shaped weight shield that covers the hook on the weight. This clock was made later than the original runs (c1881), and Waterbury had by 1895 designed its own movement with Graham's dead beat escapement, rather than using the imported Swiss pinwheel. Small chip to oak on top right of door. Door lock is present, but no door key. Bottom finials possibly replaced. Clean and running. Ht 80"
ESTIMATE: $6000 - $9000
